Interview with Gary Philipson

Marie was recently interviewed by DJ Gary Philipson from BBC Radio Tees on the subject of end of life care and the importance of complementary therapies during this time. Marie was able to talk honestly with Gary about her own mum, their shared experience of hospice care, and the journey that ultimately led Marie to become a Complementary Therapist in Cancer Care – and now a trainer.

It is a very insightful discussion – highlighting the many complicated feelings, issues and challenges that a patient and their family face when dealing with the prospect of end of life -and the full range of emotions that everyone goes through. From treasuring every special last moment, through to being able to simply hold someone’s hand when they need it most – this highlights once again how complementary therapies can play such an important role in providing much needed relief, comfort and purpose, during the most difficult of times.
